Cookies are small text files that a website can store on a device through the browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, pixels and scripts that can recognise a visitor or session. Not every technical line in a web-server log is a cookie.

The public website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, externally embedded videos, maps, chat widgets or social-media embeds. Fonts, images, video and scripts are loaded locally. The production environment may place the essential Cloudflare security cookie described below.

Because no optional technology requiring consent is used, iSyNAPS does not show a cookie banner.

Purpose: supporting bot detection and protecting the website against automated misuse.
Duration: according to Cloudflare, the cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity.

Cloudflare generates this cookie separately for each website visited. According to Cloudflare, it does not contain a user ID from the iSyNAPS application and is not used to track visitors from website to website or from session to session. The cookie is necessary for the enabled security function and is not used for analytics or marketing.

Authorised administrators who log in to WordPress may receive essential security, session and preference cookies, for example cookies named wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* and wp-settings-*. These support authentication and administration and are not used to track public visitors. Their exact names and durations may differ between WordPress installations.

The contact form uses a temporary security token in the page and server-side safeguards to reduce misuse. This token is not a tracking cookie. Personal data entered in the form is covered by the privacy policy.

The hosting environment may process technical log data such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser information and error messages. Such logs are not cookies but may contain personal data. They are used solely for availability, security and troubleshooting and are covered by the privacy policy.

The “Log in” link leads to a separate portal. At that point you leave the public website. That portal and other external websites may use their own cookies and privacy terms. Review the relevant information there before continuing.

Before analytics or marketing cookies, tracking, external media or similar optional technologies are enabled, iSyNAPS assesses whether consent is required. If it is, those technologies remain blocked until the visitor makes a free and informed choice. Accepting and refusing must be equally easy, and the choice must be changeable later.

Your browser settings allow you to view, block or delete stored cookies. Blocking essential security, administration or login cookies may prevent the website or a secure environment from working properly. The website does not present a cookie preference for the essential security cookie.
